ABOUT THE PROJECT

As part of my professional writing program at Centennial, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a team of students to develop a grant writing package for a not-for-profit organization, the SWC.

My role as a researcher involved reviewing existing SWC documents, past grant successes, supporting data, and broader funding trends. I worked closely with writers and project managers to ensure they had the necessary information to develop a strong grant proposal. This included not only compiling relevant data but also analyzing how best to present it for maximum impact.

Additionally, I researched persuasive writing strategies and key criteria that grant funders prioritize, helping to align our proposal with their expectations.
